"La dolce villa" and "Il caso Gabby Petito" are the most watched on Netflix last week

The romantic comedy set in a small Italian village, between stereotypes and good food, is the most viewed film of the week on Netflix with over 14 million views. After 10 days on the platform, La dolce villa continues to conquer the international and Italian public where it has been constantly at the top of the Top Ten of the most viewed films in the catalog every day for 13 days. Curiously, the ranking of the most viewed films worldwide on Netflix in the week from 17 to 23 February 2025 is full of titles that are not original to the platform but released in theaters such as Uncharted, Minions, Despicable Me which are not always present in all countries.

The views data is calculated on the ratio between the total hours of viewing and the duration of the product itself. Below is the ranking of the most viewed TV series on Netflix between February 17 and 23, combining the two Netflix Top Ten of non-English and English language titles:

1. The Sweet Home (US romantic film) 14.1 million views in its second week;
2. Uncharted (non-Netflix original US film) 10.5 million views; 4 weeks on Netflix, not present in the Italian catalogue;
3. Honeymoon with Mom (French film) 10.4 million views, in its second week;
4. Despicable Me 3 (non-original Netflix cartoon) 7.9 million views in its sixth week;
5. To Catch a Killer (US thriller, not in the Italian catalogue) 6.7 million views in its first week;
6. Minions (non-original Netflix cartoon) 6.1 million views in its eleventh week;
7. Despicable Me 2 (Netflix non-original cartoon) 5.9 million views in its seventeenth week;
8. Dhoom Dhaam (Indian film) 5.8 million views in its second week;
9. Love Forever (Swedish film) 5.6 million views in its first week;
10. Trial by Fire (non-original US Netflix drama) 4.6 million views in its first week in the catalog but not in the Italian one.

Everyone expected to see the miniseries Zero Day with Robert De Niro at the top of the most viewed of the week from February 17 to 23, instead it was overtaken by the true crime docu-series American Murder: The Gabby Petito Case which conquered 31.3 million views with 67.3 million total hours of viewing but a duration of 2 hours and 10 minutes. For the system of calculating the views, based on the proportion between total hours and total duration, Zero Day was overtaken stopping at 19.1 million views with 98.5 million hours but a duration of 5 hours and 10 minutes.
